EA Sports FC 25 introduces game-changing 5v5 Rush mode

EA Sports FC 25’s new Rush mode brings an exciting 5v5 football experience, promising intense, fast-paced matches on a smaller pitch with unique rules

EA Sports FC 25’s new Rush mode promises to be a game-changer in the world of football gaming.

Featuring 5v5 matches on a smaller pitch, Rush aims to deliver a more intense and fast-paced experience compared to the traditional 11v11 format.

Each match lasts 7 minutes with no half-time, ensuring constant action and minimal interruptions.

Rush mode introduces the concept of blue cards. Severe fouls result in a player being sent off for one minute, with a 15-second reduction in the penalty time if the opposing team scores.

Interestingly, goalkeepers are immune to blue and yellow cards, maintaining the flow of the game.

The smaller pitch, measuring approximately 41.5% of a traditional field, encourages lateral passing and strategic positioning.

One of the standout features of Rush is the “Race to Ball” kickoff. Instead of a standard kickoff, two ball launchers positioned at opposite ends of the halfway line randomly propel the ball into play, adding an element of unpredictability right from the start.

Matches can end in a draw, leading to a 2:20 Golden Goal Extra Time period. If the score remains tied, a 1v1 penalty shootout determines the winner. This high-stakes conclusion adds to the excitement, making every second count.

Rush mode is integrated into various game modes, including Ultimate Team, Clubs, and Manager Career Youth Academy.

In Ultimate Team and Clubs, players control four outfield players, while AI manages the goalkeeper. If a player disconnects, AI seamlessly takes over, ensuring the match continues smoothly.

EA Sports FC 25 launches on 27th September for multiple platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
