The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) is making a groundbreaking move in horse racing by introducing what it describes as the “ChatGPT version of horseracing,” a sophisticated AI-driven tool designed to predict race outcomes with high accuracy.
Andrew Harding, HKJC’s Executive Director of Racing, stressed the critical role of fan engagement in the future of the sport, stating, “Fan engagement is no mere buzzword – it will determine our future. We are committed to integrating advanced technology to enhance the racing experience for everyone involved.”
Dennis Hau, HKJC’s Executive Director of Customer Strategy, Insights and Innovation, offered more insight into the AI simulator’s capabilities.
He explained, “This AI tool is supported by a robust backend of data, positioning it as the best specialist for predicting race outcomes. Without data, without understanding our customers, we would be flying blind.”
Hau emphasised the necessity of a data-driven approach in the club’s strategy to maintain and grow its customer base by providing a more tailored and engaging betting experience.
