Manny Singh Kang, 51, began his relentless 48-hour charity walk around Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux Stadium on Thursday and is set to conclude at 16:30 BST on Saturday.
With over £260,000 raised for Dementia UK through various feats, this Wolverhampton resident is no stranger to ambitious challenges, but he calls this one his “toughest yet.”
The walk, expected to finish an hour before Wolves’ Premier League clash against Liverpool, has been gaining attention for its sheer length and determination.
To keep his spirits up during the grueling two days without sleep, Manny has encouraged fans to join him for portions of the walk.
He emphasizes that the thought of those affected by dementia fuels his endurance: “When I think of the huge number of people living with dementia, it spurs me on. No one should be alone without help.”

In previous years, Singh Kang undertook other impressive challenges for the same cause. In 2022, he walked an impressive 125 miles (201 km) from Molineux to Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge within two and a half days.
The following year, he topped that by walking 192 miles (approximately 309 km) from Wolverhampton to Newcastle’s St James’ Park in just over four days.
His efforts extend beyond walking; he’s run the London Marathon four times for Dementia UK and organizes the popular Samosa Saturday event during Wolves’ home games, where samosas are exchanged for donations.
🚶♂️Best of luck to WLV Honorary Fellow @pedalsingh who is currently walking for 48 hours around @Wolves‘s Molineux Stadium in support of @DementiaUK. #Walk48

Manny’s dedication has not gone unnoticed.
Dementia UK’s chief executive, Dr. Hilda Hayo, expressed her gratitude: “We are constantly amazed by Manny’s dedication.”
She noted that thanks to fundraisers like him, “more families than ever will be able to access life-changing support,” as every three minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with dementia.
The charity has been inspired to launch its “Fans vs Dementia” initiative, urging football supporters to participate in their own charity walks or cycling challenges.
The clock is ticking as Manny marches on, determined to keep pace through day and night.
