Manchester United have moved quickly to capitalise on West Ham’s failure to sign Noussair Mazraoui, entering advanced talks with the Bayern Munich defender.
The deal with West Ham reportedly fell apart due to disagreements over personal terms and transfer fees.
Mazraoui, who played 23 matches for Bayern last season, has expressed a keen interest in joining United.
The Moroccan right-back, valued at approximately £20 million, could significantly strengthen United’s defensive line-up.

Manchester United has been monitoring his performance since his days at Ajax, where he made 137 appearances.
His potential move to Old Trafford is seen as a key element in United’s plans to challenge for top honours this season.
The breakdown in West Ham’s negotiations reportedly stemmed from conflicting demands between the club and Mazraoui’s representatives.
Apart from his injury record… Mazraoui could be a brilliant signing.. technically could be our best RB and i think the only guy who can revive Antony’s United career(if there is any)#Mufc pic.twitter.com/iWdwiFX7xa

As reported by 90min, West Ham’s offer did not meet the financial expectations set by Bayern and the player. This opened the door for United to step in with a more attractive proposition.
In addition to his defensive prowess, Mazraoui is known for his ability to contribute to the attack, having scored 11 goals during his time at Ajax.
United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, is believed to be a significant factor in Mazraoui’s interest, given their previous successful partnership at Ajax.
