Cristiano Ronaldo, the all-time leading scorer in the UEFA Champions League, will be honoured at the 2024/25 season’s draw ceremony in Monaco on 29 August.
Having netted 140 goals in 183 appearances across 18 years, Ronaldo stands far ahead of his rivals. His closest competitor, Lionel Messi, trails by 11 goals.

His exceptional performance includes a staggering 17 goals during the 2013/14 campaign alone.
“Cristiano Ronaldo’s relentless pursuit of excellence and his goal-scoring achievements seem destined to stand the test of time,” remarked UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin during the award announcement.

Ronaldo’s legacy includes five Champions League titles, making him the first player since 1992 to achieve such a feat.
His honours span from his first victory with Manchester United in 2008 to four more during his reign at Real Madrid.
The Portuguese forward also holds the record for scoring in three separate finals – 2008, 2014, and 2017 – making him the only player to have done so.
As reported by The Independent, Ronaldo has not only dominated individual scoring records but also played an integral role in securing team victories.
His career, defined by professionalism and an unmatched passion for the game, continues to inspire future generations.
Ronaldo also holds the record for scoring in 11 consecutive Champions League matches from 2017 to 2018.
