Besiktas president ironically says ‘Balotelli will join Juventus’

Besiktas President Ahmet Nur Cebi stated that Mario Balotelli will join Juventus although Bianconeri are clearly not interested in signing the striker.

Besiktas President Ahmet Nur Çebi has started an argument with his Adama Demispor counterpart Murat Sancak saying that Mario Balotelli will join Juventus.

Sancak had troubled the Besiktas president by claiming that they would have hired Senol Gunes as their new coach next season. Striker Mario Balotelli was somehow implicated in the rapid reply.

“I do not remember Sancak being a Besiktas chief,” said Ahmet Nur Cebi.

“I do not remember that I brought him to the position of spokesperson for the press. It was not appropriate for the President of Adana Demirspor to make a statement concerning Besiktas , which was also a big lie.

“I can give you information from Adana Demirspor. Vincenzo Montella is going to Trabzonspor next year and Mario Balotelli will go to Juventus.”

It appears that Nur Cebi simply wanted to return the favour to his counterpart as it’s unimaginable to see Balotelli join Juve anytime soon.

Nevertheless, the flamboyant forward revealed two years ago that he was close to signing with The Old Lady in 2013 before he decided to join Manchester City.

SuperMario made his Italy return for a get-together at Coverciano at the end of January, but his last appearance with the Azzurri is dated back to May 2018.

Balotelli has played 141 games in Serie A with FC Inter, AC Milan and Brescia Calcio, scoring 52 goals. He made his senior Italy debut in August 2010, and has 36 caps and 14 goals to his name.

The former Italy striker who joined Adana Demirspor last summer and netted 11 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions.
