Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new record after making 182 international appearances, outranking the European record set by Sergio Ramos.
The Portuguese forward made his 181st appearance for his country on Saturday and added his all-time international goals – a record previously held by Iranian international Ali Dei.
Shortly after returning to Old Trafford this year, Cristiano equalized against Ireland in the 89th minute, recording his 100th goal playing for Portugal.

That helped him better Daei’s previous record by one goal. Ronaldo went ahead to score again close to the stoppage time, completing a sensational comeback for Portugal and extending his international goal record to 111.
Cristiano later extended his record further after recording his 112th international goal using a left-footed effort. The 36-year old forward scored the goal in the 37th minute when Portugal was playing against Qatar last weekend.
The feat was especially impressive to Manchester United fans as the goal was assisted by the team’s right-back Diogo Dalot. As such, punters can bet on Cristiano to score a goal using the 12bet platform, as the Portuguese international is set to keep scoring.
Despite scoring in the 37th minute, Coach Fernando Santos took off the 36-year-old star at halftime, before Jose Fonte scored the second goal. Ronaldo’s replacement Rafael Leao did the woodwork before Andre Silva scored Portugal’s final against 2022 World Cup hosts at stoppage time.
After breaking the record with his 112 International goals last weekend, Cristiano extended his record a few days later by scoring his 115 International goals to extend his impressive goal record.
The Man United superstar scored a hat-trick in their world cup qualifiers as Bruno Fernandes scored a goal to give Portugal a 5-0 triumph against Luxembourg. The feat sent Manchester United fans into a meltdown.

Following their triumph over Luxembourg in their midweek game, Ronaldo talked about the historic night and praised his fans as he revealed that he’s always looking for more scoring opportunities.
Through his Instagram post, Ronaldo said that another victory is another step towards Portugal’s goal in defence of their colours. The 36-year old further added that things are easier for the team while playing at home and in front of fans that care for the team from the start of the game.
Besides being the highest goal scorer in International history, Cristiano also has the most hat-tricks (10) after his impressive scoring against one of his favourite victims this year.
Cristiano has recorded nine goals against Luxembourg, which is more than any goals he has scored against any other country he has played against.
Manchester United fans were quite ecstatic during this game, as every goal scored by Portugal against Luxembourg was directly related to their players. That includes Bruno Fernandes’s goal in the 17th minute and he also assisted Joao Palhinha to net another goal minutes after half-time.
The Sporting Lisbon player celebrated his goal by hitting Cristiano’s celebration, much to the captain’s delight. That was also impressive to Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who hopes the scoring run will continue as a tough run of games is up ahead.
