FIFA 23 will be the final game of the franchise to include the FIFA branding before EA shifts to EA Sports FC. Fans have high expectations for the game that will bring an end to the partnership’s dominant era.
While FIFA 23 is expected to introduce new features like World Cup content and possibly crossplay, Ultimate Team fans will be happy to know that some returning features will also appear in FIFA 23.
FUT Hero cards were a new introduction in FIFA 22 and the concept is meant to highlight incredible players of the past who never quite reached icon status.
EA picked a set of players that shared a common characteristic of leadership and respect for the clubs they played for.

These Hero items are special cards in FUT as they utilize unique chemistry attributes. They offer league-specific chemistry and provide a green club link to any player within the same league.
While EA have yet to confirm if this is true, several FUT leakers are suggesting that the same batch of FUT Hero cards from FIFA 22 will be returning to FIFA 23 alongside new additions.
This would mirror the method of adding new Icon cards to the game with the same names returning every year in addition to some new faces. FIFA leaker FUT Sheriff has slowly been revealing the new names we could expect including Marchisio, Yaya Toure, and Lucio.

These new FUT Heroes will likely be added on top of the existing FUT Heroes from FIFA 22 in the next game, adding more variety to the available players. The list is not final, and can change ahead of the release of FIFA 23. Ratings for these cards are also unknown, but looking back at their cards of old, players like Yaya Touré and Marchisio will likely be insane players at their position.
