Mauro Icardi’s agents desperately trying to find their client a way out of PSG

Mauro Icardi's agents have begun the search to find another club for the Argentine striker, L'Equipe reports.

The 28-year-old eventually left for Paris Saint Germain on loan in 2019, after falling out with the Nerazzurri management, and the Ligue 1 champions then secured his stay on a permanent basis last summer.

Nonetheless, the Argentine is finding it hard to integrate into the starting XI at the capital club – despite the arrival of his compatriot Mauricio Pochettino – as the Parisians possess an incredible attacking department, which includes absolute world-class talent in the form of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé among others.

Paris Saint-Germain want to recoup the €50million they paid Inter Milan after activating an option to buy him 12 months ago.

Icardi has suffered a succession of injuries this season and also had a spell on the sidelines after testing positive for Covid.

Calciomercato believes that Icardi might try to find his way back to Italy, with the likes of Juventus, Roma and even Milan being linked with a possible swoop. Although Icardi is keen on a return to Italy his annual €10m salary puts him out of reach of most Serie A sides.

Although a switch to the Premier League seems like a more likely option at this point, the player is eager to return to the Apennines, where he spent the best time of his career.

Indeed, Icardi had racked up a resounding 124 goals in 219 appearances during his stint at the Giuseppe Meazza before departing for Paris.

PSG star Mauro Icardi’s house broken into and robbed

Icardi became the latest PSG star to fall victim to burglary in January, when he had £350,000 worth of items stolen while away with his team.

The Argentine striker’s Neuilly-sur-Seine home in the French capital was robbed while he was away with Mauricio Pochettino ‘s side in Brittany, preparing for their Ligue 1 clash with FC Lorient.

The burglary was discovered by Icardi’s staff, noting that the perpetrators had forced entry into the property via window.
