Bayern Munich continue to work on deal to sign Liverpool’s Sadio Mane

Liverpool winger Sadio Mane is back on the table for Bayern Munich after fresh movement in his contract talks

According to sources, Bayern have a real chance to sign Mane in the Summer and the deal could be done with just 42m. The 30-year-old has had a decent season finding the back of the net 23 times and assisting a further five.

The move comes as a surprise as Mane was initially said to be happy at Liverpool and intended to stay. However, the news is against Liverpool as Mane is happy to leave as well.

Bayern have been eyeing Mane for a while now. In fact, There were rumours that the German club intended to buy Mane during the January transfer window. Although no deal was finalized and Mane stayed.

However, times have changed and Bayern are in the talking. Real Madrid and Barcelona have shown interest in the 30-year-old as well.

What’s more, journalist Florian Plettenberg, who has pushed this transfer link along in recent weeks, has claimed movement in Mane’s situation.

“FC Bayern is a serious option for Sadio Mane to change this summer. This transfer is definitely possible,” Plettenberg said.

“We hear that there has been movement in the last few days. There is a clear development to be seen, also in the discussions between his management and also with the player.”

Mane has been instrumental for Liverpool and should not be let go in this fashion considering he was Klopp’s first signing as well.

Liverpool should evaluate their choice and the Champions League final against Real Madrid in the coming weekend will certainly help them.
